Tournament entry fee is $10.00 per game. Registration is first come first serve till gaming cap is reached.

PRIZE MONEY: Total prize pool will be based on the number of entries, so spread the word and tell your friends!

You MUST purchase a Tournament Participant Badge to gain access to the tournament and the expo (Passes available on eventbrite). This badge will grant you access to both Saturday and Sunday even if you are eliminated. That means if you participate in our awesome gaming tournament, you get to save $$$ on HGX admission!

The Tournament Participant Badge will only be given to those who have registered and played in at least one tournament.

 HGX Tournament Organizers assume that each participant who enter a tournament is aware of all the rules and checks them periodically . Insufficient knowledge of the rules can not be used as an excuse for breaking the rules.

  • PC, controls are available, you may bring your own

  • Double Elimination

  • Default settings

  • 2/3 Rounds per game

  • 2/3 Games per set

  • 3/5 Games for Winners, Losers, & Grand Finals

  • Winner of prior game must keep same character

  • Loser of prior game may switch character

  • Random stage select (players may opt for an agreed stage)

  • In-Game Settings

  • In game settings should be determined by the “play a friend” mode

  • Lineup and Depth Chart Requirements

  • Lineups are managed through the Game’s lineup screen.

  • Additional Gameplay Rules

  • Onside Kicks: Onside kicks are not allowed in the first half. A Competitor may attempt an onside kick at any time in thesecond half.

  • Excessive Offsides: Neither the offense or defense should purposefully go offsides with the intent of delaying the game norexhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct. Intent is at the sole discretion of the tournament organizers.

  • Improper Audibles: Competitors may not audible out of the QB Kneel, Wildcat, Field Goal, or Punt formations.

  • Glitches

  • Any attempt to glitch the game in order to gain an advantage is prohibited:

  • Procedure After a Glitch Penalty: In the event that a tournament administrator determines that a penalty was caused by anunauthorized glitch, one or more of the following actions will be taken to return the game to a fair state depending on theresult of the play.

  • If the ball wasn’t advanced by the offense OR the result of the play was in favor of the defense (turnover, sack, defensiveTD), then the offense will be forced to decline the penalty (in the end, the penalty for a glitch is a loss of down).

  • If the ball was advanced by the offense, then the offense will be forced to take penalties until they are equal or behind theline of scrimmage at the start of the play where they intentionally glitched (in the end, the penalty for a glitch is a loss ofdown).

  • Payout split of 50/25/15/10
